Paul Graham, one of my personal gurus, offers and insightful essay on “Six principles of making new things“.  I recommend reading all of Paul’s essay. Most of them are timeless.

Harvard Business in an article “Visionary Entrepreneur” gives the basic formula and a poignant and very admirable case study for basic entreprenuership: “Understand a problem, grasp its full context, connect previously unconnected dots, and have the vision, courage, resourcefulness, and persistence to see the solution through to fruition.”

You will find some useful tips on “Building up your Startup team“, from PartnerUp, including how to build a welll-rounded team, and the pros and cons of including family and friends.

“9 Deadly Startup diseases - and how to cure them“, by Daniel from SitePoint, is a classic list of issues that face startups including imaginary user syndrome, the stealth priduct delusion, and the worng platform fracture.

Finally, James Surowicki, author of “The Wisdom of Crowds” offers some insight into “building smart teams“.
